Frequently Asked Questions
If you don't see your question answered here, you're always welcome to reach out. I'm happy to help.
How do I book a session?
Booking starts by reaching out through the Bookings page. Once we talk through your needs, I'll help you choose a session tier and customization options, and you'll receive a clear quote before anything is finalized.
Do I need to know exactly what I want before booking?
Not at all. Many clients reach out with only a general idea. I'm happy to help guide you through session types, photography methods, editing styles, and delivery options.
Can I change my session tier after booking?
In most cases, yes. If you realize you need more (or less) time, images, or flexibility, we can adjust your session tier as long as scheduling allows. Any pricing changes will be discussed clearly ahead of time.
How far in advance should I book?
Availability varies, but booking a few weeks ahead is recommended when possible. That said, last-minute availability does happen—feel free to reach out and ask.
I'm awkward in front of the camera—will you help with posing?
Absolutely. Sessions are gently guided, not rigidly posed. I'll offer simple direction when needed while keeping things natural and comfortable.
What if my kids don't cooperate?
That's completely okay. Sessions are unhurried and flexible, and I work with kids at their own pace. Some of the best images come from unplanned moments.
Can pets be included?
Yes! Pets are always welcome and count as part of the session.
Where do sessions take place?
Sessions can take place outdoors, at a location of your choosing, or in other agreed-upon settings. Location details are discussed during planning.
What's the difference between phone photography and camera photography?
Phone photography offers a casual, candid feel and is ideal for social-media-friendly images. Professional camera photography provides higher resolution and a more traditional look. Both are approached with the same care and attention to light and composition.
Can I choose both phone and camera photography?
Yes. A combination option is available if you'd like a mix of styles within the same session.
What does "AI-assisted editing" mean?
AI-assisted editing uses tools to make clean, natural adjustments efficiently. It's ideal for clients who want polished images without extensive manual retouching.
What are traditional edits?
Traditional edits are done by hand and include more detailed adjustments to color, tone, and overall refinement.
Can I request a specific editing style?
Yes. You're welcome to request an overall aesthetic—such as bright, nostalgic, muted, pastel, or warm—and I'll apply it consistently where possible.
What if I don't want edits at all?
That's completely fine. Choosing "no edits" applies a 25% discount to the base session price, and images are delivered with minimal adjustments.
How will I receive my photos?
All sessions include delivery through a private online gallery where you can view, download, and share your images.
Do you offer printed photos?
Yes. Printed photos are available by quote, based on quantity and size.
Can you format photos for social media or other uses?
Yes. Custom delivery options—such as social-media-optimized files, posters, or physical media—are available by quote, depending on the methods and materials involved.
Why doesn't the website show one final price?
Because sessions are customizable, final pricing depends on the session tier you choose along with any photography, editing, delivery options, or add-ons. You'll always receive a clear quote before booking.
Do you offer payment flexibility?
Payment details are discussed during booking. If you have questions or concerns, feel free to ask.
What are special programs?
Special Programs are ongoing, situation-specific options designed to make photography more accessible during difficult or transitional circumstances. They are not promotional and are handled privately.
How do I ask about special programs?
You can reach out through the Contact page and mention that you'd like to inquire privately. No explanation beyond what you're comfortable sharing is required.
